Comments on the answers

The first point the questionnaire was aimed at, that is to ascertain if the students were aware enough of having taken part to a Comenius project about Middle Ages, shows clearly that they seem to have no doubts about it; the second point was aimed at showing the students' involvement in the activities of the project.

From the answers given it seems that the students of the two classes questioned (the IIIC and the VD I.T.) almost unanimously liked the activities proposed in the Comenius project about Middle Ages in Sardinia, with higher ratings for taking photos, visiting historical sites, preparing posters, consulting maps and also listening to teachers' and guide's explanations. The students of the IIIC also suggested some initiatives for the next school term, such as continue preparing posters, twining with other schools, visiting the Castello of San Michele.

Conclusions

The school I.T.I.S. M.Giua - Cagliari is actually leaving the project, but the interest shown by the students who have been involved in it, clearly suggests that it would be good to continue in initiatives implying a direct approach to local history. The Comenius project has encouraged a good practice of active teaching that will stay as a positive experience for the future.
